These conditions can cause in some cases asymptomatic and sometimes irreversible loss of vision if poorly treated or neglected.
Shroff is nearing acentury of distinguished service in eye care and surgery.
The hospital in Delhi has a full team of specialist surgeons, clinical and research ophthalmologists and research scientists , supported by trained and qualified staff members.
Its full array of state-of-the-art equipment and a high-safety environment enables doctors to diagnose and treat eye problems accurately, safely and effectively.
Diabetic retinopathy clinic - dedicated to identifying diabetics who are at a risk of developing diabetic retinopathy and providing long-term care.
Macular degeneration clinic - Digital flourescein and Indocyanine green angiography are used to be able to accurately diagnose the condition.
Glaucoma clinic - The Humphrey computerised visual field analyser helps track prevention of further damage to the vision. Special Blue-on-yellow software [SWAP] allows early diagnosis of glaucoma suspects, especially those with a strong family history.
Uveitis Clinic - Pathology laboratory for the complete range of investigations to diagnose, treat and follow up.

Ocular Trauma - Vitreo-retinal surgery can now prevent loss of vision in many patient with severe eye trauma caused by blunt or penetrating injuries.
Low-stress cataract surgery
Phacoemulsification - is a micro-incision technique of cataract surgery wherein an ultrasound probe breaks the cataract into tiny pieces and sucks them out. If a foldable implant is inserted the incision size is smaller (2.8 - 3.0 mm) as compared to an approximately 5 mm incision to accommodate a non-foldable lens. Both incisions are self-sealing and need no stitches.
KERATOCONUS AND CORNEAL COLLAGEN CROSS-LINKING - A new treatment for keratoconus which has shown great success is Corneal Collagen Crosslinking with Riboflavin (C3-R®*), a one-time application of riboflavin eye drops to the eye. The riboflavin, when activated by approximately 30 minutes illumination with UV-A light, augments the collagen cross-links within the stroma and so recovers some of the cornea's mechanical strength.
C3-R®, developed at the Technische Universität Dresden, Germany has been shown to slow or arrest the progression of keratoconus, and in some cases even reverse it, particularly when applied in combination with intracorneal ring segments.
